Hero Super Splendor New Motor Bike has come up with three new motorcycles as part of its 2018 lineup. The Super Splendor, Passion Pro and Passion XPro now come with Hero MotoCorp’s indigenously developed 110 and 125 engines which are already in use in the Splendor iSmart and 2017 Glamour. Also new is Hero’s iSmart start-stop technology. The Super Splendor gets a new engine and minor cosmetic enhancements to justify its ‘all-new’ tag. The redesign is a subtle one, with new side panels and tail lamp. The graphics are new as well. Surprisingly, the instrument cluster is an analogue unit, unlike the analogue/digital units on the Passion Pro and Passion XPro. Powering the new Super Splendor is the 125cc single-cylinder motor from the new, carburetted Glamour. Hero Super Splendor New Motor Bike makes 11.4PS and 11Nm of torque, an increase of 2.4PS over the older motor. Combined with Hero’s i3S technology, the new motor should be more fuel efficient than before.   The frame remains the same though the suspension has been stiffened up. Overall, the bike remains easy to ride and flickable at slow city commutes, though it does not feel as confident to ride on the highway and twisties. For braking, it gets 130mm drum brakes at the front and rear. Sadly, it misses out on a front disc brake, even as an option. The Super Splendor is expected to be launched before the 2018 Auto Expo.
